The title of this post is an example of just one of the one-liners that waacking produced on Thursday night.
It's hard to tell why exactly Thursday night waacking has the effect that it does, but something about the potent combination of disco beats and drama has such a large impact on everyone's serotonin levels that hilarity is almost guaranteed to ensue.
This week the first culprit was a pas de bourree. It served to highlight the fact that an uncommonly high number of us were apparently having internal domestics - between our brains and feet that is. These arguments had become so ferocious that apparently our metatarsals and motor-neurones were no longer on speaking terms, rendering the footwork sequence seemingly impossible. Luckily Mademoiselle Ginger (@MlleGinger) was, as ever, on hand to mediate so that by the end of the track reconciliation had occurred and we were all flying down the room (for the most part anyway ............).
The other cackle criminal was a rather 'interesting' attempt at a call and response exercise - one half of the group were waacking to the instrumental parts of the track and the other to the lyrical - EASIER SAID THAN DONE. When you're supposed to being the voice and you miss not one, but every single entrance and wind-up in a rather failed attempt at hiding - there really isn't anything to do except laugh!
